Associated Chromosomal Abnormalities

Down's syndrome, William's syndrome and Turner syndrome are all chromosomal disorders that have been linked with coeliac disease. The prevalence of coeliac disease in Down's syndrome individuals has been estimated to be around 5%, with the prevalence in both William's syndrome and Turner syndrome also increased when compared with the general population1,2,3.
